Cake Toppers: quasi, quasi mi risposo!

Si chiamano Wedding Cake Toppers e sono le decorazioni da mettere sopra la torta nuziale. Mariti presi al lazzo o occupati a giocare una partitella di golf sulla panna montata, spose intente a “placcare” il proprio uomo (che ovviamente cerca di scappare) o temporaneamente assenti per shopping: insomma vere e proprie creazioni divertenti per rendere unico il vostro dolce nuziale. Basta con i soliti tristissimi sposini! O con le iniziali!!! Quella degli sposini ironici sopra la torta è una moda che da anni ha conquistato l'America e l'Inghilterra ma da noi stenta un po' a diffondersi, forse perché fino ad oggi non eravamo a conoscenza di queste meraviglie!! Io, non posso negarlo, per il mio matrimonio ne ho acquistata una:

e ho fatto questa piccola sorpresa a mio marito! Non vi dico le risate quando la torta è arrivata in sala!!! I costi non sono contenuti: in america costano un po’ meno (si va dai 18 ai 50 dollari) in Italia invece i costi lievitano notevolmente (si va da un minimo di 30€ ad un massimo di 75€), senza considerare poi le spese di spedizione. Purtroppo però per noi donne (meglio per i negozianti) a certe cose non sappiamo proprio rinunciare….e ditemi se non è questo il caso!

Scegliere poi quale comprare è una tortura (io le avrei comprate tutte, ma poi sulla torta come ce le mettevo?!). Fortunata sono le appassionate di shopping, o di scii, o quelle con mariti sportivi (vedi sopra) che possono andare sul sicuro, le altre si preparino ad una lunga ed estenuante rassegnaaa!

How to make a perfect wedding? I do not know but I know that we have to start buying Wedding Cake Toppers!! So cool! So amazing! Golf or Football fanatic Groom, shopping addicted bride or sexy couple in a very hot kiss, and many many others. Lovely creations for a perfet wedding date! They are fashionable in U.S. and England but in other countries they are also unknown. I confess….for my wedding I bought one (first picture) and i made a surprise to my groom!! In America are cheaper than in Italy (from 18$ to 50$, shipping not included). Honestly it’s difficult to choose which one buy, I will buy all of them!!!!

Parigi giorno 4: fate uscire di galera Galliano, gli diamo la Westwood!

Giornata intensa a Parigi oggi! Dopo gli abiti effetto “origami” di Issey Miyake e quelli “sacchetto” di Amaya Arzuaga (dove però qualcosa di bello ho visto a dire il vero…) è arrivato il fatidico momento di dedicarsi (anima e corpo) ai due nomi più attesi: Christian Dior e Vivienne Westwood. Ma partiamo da Dior. Lo avranno pure licenziato (Galliano – arrestato con l’accusa di antisemitismo alla vigilia della Fashion Week di Parigi) ma la sua collezione è spettacolare! Tiratelo fuori di galera, per favore! Ogni look sceso in passerella (oltre 50) era ricco di dettagli e accessori, non bastava il tempo per apprezzare ogni singolo capo! Pellicce, pinocchietti, morbide bluse, giacchine corte, vestiti leggeri e svolazzanti, ma soprattutto borse di ogni sorta, gioielli in tessuto, stivali sopra il ginocchio in pelle da urlo, colori autunnali (blu, verde, marrone, grigio, porpora) e, sono sicura, che se riguardassi la sfilata da capo aggiungerei altri dettagli! Sono sicura di una cosa, non so se rivedremo tanto presto il buon vecchio John, ma se questa era una delle sue ultime sfilate, ce lo ricorderemo benissimo!!!! Passiamo ora a quell’arzilla inglese (decisamente eccentrica) della Westwood. Tralasciando il fatto che alle modelle avremmo volentieri messo un sacchetto in testa per la loro bruttezza (mamma miaaa!!) lo stile è inconfondibile: oro ovunque, sulle scarpe, sui tessuti, sui vestiti e sulle borse…desisamente gold! Un po’ maschiaccio nei completi, un po’ donna fatale nell’abito lungo, quella fricchetona della Vivienne ha sbalordito (come al solito) tutti con tessuti stravaganti e forme irregolari. Non so se mi metterei mai uno di quegli abiti (forse i calzini marchiati westwood sì, eccome!), ma se potessi farei un cambio: fuori Galliano dentro la Westwood!!! ;)

Busy day in Paris today. After the clothes “origami” style by Issey Miyake and those “shopping bag” style by Amaya Arzuaga (where, sincerely, something beautiful we have seen) the show must go on with Dior (without Galliano that was arrested) and Westwood. So: Galliano was fired two days ago but his collection is really fantastic!!! Pleaseeee….keep it out from prison!!!). Every looks that walks the runway is amazing!!! Fantastic laced-up boots and mini jackets, wonderful velvet shorts, fluffy furs and chiffon dresses. Green, brown, purple, blue, gray, colors mixed very well and very hardly. Congratulations to John who will be remembered for a long time. Now, take a look to miss Vivienne Westwood a crazy english woman. In her runway we saw soo much glitter (gold and silver every where), strong pants and dresses, punk skirts and skin-tight leggings with oversized knits. And models?!?! The girls faces were transformed with tribal make up: soo bad!! I propose an exchange: out Galliano (from prison), in Vivienne!!!

Parigi: Balenciaga un accessorio tira l'altro!

Quella di Balenciaga era sicuramente la sfilata più attesa della terza giornata Parigina (non per niente c’erano anche Orlando Bloom e consorte, il pargolo era con la tata ovviamente loro ce l’hanno). Dopo i primi due giorni passati a vedere abiti per lo più in nero ed essenziali (ma, diciamocelo in confidenza, anche un po’ vampireschi a dir la verità con quelle modelle bianche latte…brrr), la passerella di Balenciaga è stata una botta di vita! Oh signur! Ci voleva tanto a mandar in passerella un po’ di colore? Già che non ne abbiamo più voglia di inverno e giornate grigie, già che non abbiamo comprato ancora un indumento della Collezione P/E 2011 che ci sparano quella del prossimo A/I! E allora vai con Gonne sotto il ginocchio (o meglio quasi al polpaccio come quelle delle nostre nonne…ma va bene lo stesso) in fantasia o a tinta unita (nero principalmente ma anche blu elettrico, viola, bianco e grigio) e maglie oversize (che piacciono sempre a noi donne un po’ rotondette..no?), tagli asimmetrici e qualche “rete” di troppo in versione maglia...Ma su tutti, attenzione, gli inserti di pelle nera su stoffe di altro genere, come delle asimmetriche toppe sistemate qua e la su giacche, gonne, pantaloni e maglie. Aadorroo!! Non parliamo poi degli accessori, ai quali sinceramente, avessi un adeguato stipendio, non resisterei!! Vogliamo parlare delle pochette? In Fantasia realizzata in tessuto intrecciato passo su passo? Oppure di quella in tessuto barocco? No parliamone eh? E i boots? Vedere la foto per credere? Da abbinare alla pochette!! No. Basta. Altrimenti che ci arriva al 9 di marzo (giornata finale a Parigi ndr!)???

Balenciaga was certainly the most anticipated show of the third day in Paris, infact there were important guests such as Orlando Bloom and his family). After the first two days, in which we saw only dresses black and essential (really, in confidence, dresses too much inspirated by "vampire style", brrrr), the runway of Balenciaga was very eccentric and refreshing...!Oh my Gold! Finally there are so many colors (mostly black but also electric blu, purple, white and grey) and oversize and asymmetric sweaters !! So fantastic!!! Can we talk about accessories, now?? So cool! I want its!!!! The clutch and the boots made in very particular and strange materials....wonderful!! You can see everything in the pictures.... now stop!!! See you soon!!!! Parigi: Lady Gaga's day

Cicca in bocca, lunghe codine bionde, cappello over size, occhio nero (scena finale di Bad Romance), gonna vita alza in super lattax, stivali fascianti con mega zeppona e, tocco finale, top velato con reggiseno a vista. Poteva apparire in abiti diversi Lady Gaga sulla passerella di Thierry Mugler?! Certo che no! E io non dovevo aspettarmi niente di diverso alla vigilia di questa ultima sfilata giornaliera del Pret a Porter di Parigi dove Mugler ha chiuso gli shows del giorno. Con lei come testimonial e modella potevano esserci in passerella abiti normali? A voi la risposta, io vi dico solo che in streaming su Facebook è andata in scena la sfilata live di Thierry Mugler alle ore 21.30 e in uno scenario stile cattedrale gotica si è consumato lo show, che è apparso più una performance artistica che “stilistica”. Modelle ammiccanti, e abiti al limite della portabilità, ora non fraintendetemi, abiti spettacolari e fantastici, ma se si chiama “Pret a Porter” un motivo ci deve pur essere?!?!?! Passino gli stivali altissimi e zeppatissimi e il vedo non vedo delle camicette (che diciamoci la verità è: vedo tutto benissimo!), ma l’utilizzo del lattex in tutte le sue possibili applicazioni (gonne a vita altissima, pantaloni, tute e vestiti) e boleri in plastica, stile uniforme di Iron Man, no eh! Preferisco il Thierry Mugler che ha mandato in passerella un total look in blu elettrico e boots dal tacco incurvato, tailleur e vestiti dalle linee sinuose e dalle spalline decisamente decise (passatemi in gioco di parole), vestiti più in linea con le donne di oggi, e a dire la verità anche Lady Gaga nel finale è apparsa in passerella con i creatori della linea con gonna lunga e corsetto rigorasamente in bianco, con un look più sobrio, anche se la faccia non prometteva nulla di buono!!!

Cigarettes in her mouth, long blonde pigtails, oversized hat, black eye (the final scene of Bad Romance, do you know?), super lattax skirt, hot boots, and a final touch, top nude-look (very nude). Could we imagine a different Lady Gaga for Thierry Mugler?! NO, of course! And I should not expect anything different in this second day of the Pret a Porter fashion show in Paris, where Mugler's shows was in the end of the day. With Lady Gaga as testimonial could be normal? To you the answer, I will say only that on Facebook at 9.30 pm was broadcast in streaming how in a room Gothic cathedral style that appeared more as a performance art than a pararde. Improbable clothes, now do not misunderstand, spectacular and fantastic dresses , but if it is called "Pret a Porter" there must be a reason ?!?!?! Okey for high boots and  nude- shirts (but I can see everything very well!) but lattex in all its possible applications (high life skirts, trousers, suits and dresses), plastic boleros (like  Iron Man), noooo, it’s tooo! I prefer total look in electric blue and curved heel boots, suits and dresses with sinuous lines and straps definitely, clothes for  today's women. In the final Lady Gaga has appeared on the catwalk with the creators of the line with long skirt and corset rigorasamente white, with a more sober look, even if the face does not bode well!

Th-h-he O-o-oscar g-g-goes t-t-to ci piace!

Un mix tra un balbuziente e Facebook, tra un sogno e un incubo, tra la noia e rare risate. In una frase: gli Academy Awards 2011. La notte degli Oscar, la prima che riesco a vedere in diretta per più di cinque ore consecutive, e qui vi pregherei di far scattare quell'applauso spontaneo da studio televisivo, non è stata proprio come speravo. Le nominations? Scontate. I presentatori (Anne Hathaway e James Franco)? Altalenanti, meglio lei perché lui è rimasto praticamente sempre nell'ombra. I vincitori? I soliti noti. E allora almeno rifacciamoci gli occhi con gli abiti... ma anche qui poco da dire.

Un'edizione che doveva essere giovane, di rinnovamento e alla fine l'unico ad essere stato davvero brillante ha 95 anni e si chiama Kirk Douglas. Una ventata di ironia su un palco fin troppo impostato. Siparietti e battute con quella dizione che l'età rende imperfetta, hanno allentato la tensione e regalato attimi di vere risate al pubblico in sala e ai milioni di telespettatori.

Detto questo... non c'è che dire: gli Oscar non fanno i grandi film ma a volte, troppo rare purtroppo, ci azzeccano. Il discorso del Re conquista 4 statuette, poche rispetto alle 12 nominations, le più importanti: Miglior Film, Miglior Regia (Tom Hooper), Miglior Sceneggiatura Originale (David Seiler) e Miglior Attore Protagonista (Colin Firth). A vedere il film ci si chiede perché non siano stati premiati anche Helena Bonham Carter e Geoffrey Rush come attori non protagonisti, senza nulla togliere a Melissa Leo e Christian Bale vincitori per The Fighter. Firth balbuziente è strepitoso, meglio delle aspettative, e i suoi "compagni di set" non sono da meno. La Bonham Carter appare del tutto a suo agio nei panni della Regina: che sia di Cuori (Alice in wonderland) o Elizabeth (Il discorso del Re). Rush poi è la ciliegina sulla torta: tempi "comici" perfetti, mimica facciale ineguagliabile e un carisma degno del suo nome. Insomma un mix praticamente perfetto sotto ogni aspetto, per dirla alla Mary Poppins.

Impossibile non nominare The social network. Il mondo di facebook porta a casa tre statuette su otto nominations: Miglior Sceneggiatura non Originale (Aaron Sorkin), Miglior Montaggio (Kirk Baxter e Angus Wall) e Miglior Colonna Sonora (Trent Reznor e Atticus Ross). E questa creazione di David Fincher è sicuramente la "grande esclusa" viste le aspettative. Quello che sorprende è invece Inception che colpendo ai fianchi gli avversari porta a casa quattro premi definiti comunemente "minori", termine che odio dato che si parla di maestranze, ovvero della vera anima di ogni film. Poi a scalare il già nominato The fighter che arriverà nei prossimi giorni in Italia, Il cigno nero con Natalie Portman Miglior Attrice Protgonista, Toy Story 3 ecc.

Il rammarico più grande è non aver sentito parlare italiano almeno una di quelle statuette, ma l'unica nominata nostrana era Antonella Cannarozzi per Io sono l'amore, per lei compito impossibile il battere Colleen Atwood per Alice in wonderland.

Chiusa questa lunga parentesi "cinefila" torno in me... Lacrime, sorrisi, ringraziamenti, paillettes, pietre preziose e uomini meravigliosi in smoking sono il contorno di uno spettacolo più o meno riuscito. Uno spettacolo che da 83 edizioni richiama l'attenzione del mondo intero. Uno spettacolo che ogni anno cerca di rinnovarsi ma che nella sua storia e nella sua classicità avrebbe i suoi punti di forza, se solo tutti se ne accorgessero... Perché gli Oscar sono sempre gli Oscar...

A mix between a stutterer and Facebook, between a dream and a nightmare of boredom and rare laughs. In a sentence: The Academy Awards 2011. The Oscar night, the first that I can watch live for more than five consecutive hours, and here I would ask you to take that applause spontaneously as a television studio, it was just as I hoped.The nominations? Granted. Presenters (Anne Hathaway and James Franco)? Roller-coaster ride, she better because he has remained almost always in the shadows. The winners? The usual suspects. So at least your eyes Let us go back with the clothes ... but even here not much to say. 

One issue that had to be young, renewal and ultimately the only one that was really brilliant 95 years old and his name is Kirk Douglas. A touch of irony on a stage set too. Curtain and jokes with the condition that the age makes imperfect, have eased the tension and provide moments of genuine laughter to the audience and the millions of viewers. 

That said ... no doubt about it: the Oscars do not make great movies but sometimes, unfortunately too rare, we guessed. The King's speech wins four statuettes, fewer than 12 nominations, the most important: Best Picture, Directing (Tom Hooper), Writer (Original Screenplay) (David Seiler) and Actor in a leading role (Colin Firth). To see the film one wonders why it has not been rewarded even Helena Bonham Carter and Geoffrey Rush as the Actor in a supporting role, without taking anything away from Melissa Leo and Christian Bale winners for The Fighter. Firth stuttering is great, better than expected, and his "companions set" are no different. Bonham Carter appears totally at ease in the role of the Queen: that of Hearts (Alice in Wonderland) and Elizabeth (The King's speech). Rush then is the icing on the cake time "comedians" perfect, unique facial expressions and charisma worthy of its name. In short, a mix practically perfect in every respect, to say to Mary Poppins. 

The impossible not to mention The social network. The world of Facebook took home three statues out of eight nominations: Writer (Adapted Screenplay) (Aaron Sorkin), Film Editing (Kirk Baxter and Angus Wall) and Music (Original Score) (Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross). And this creation of David Fincher is definitely the "big excluding" given the expectations. What is surprising is that instead of hitting the hips Inception opponents took home four awards commonly defined "minor", a term I hate because it comes to workers, that is the true soul of the film. Then climb to the already named The fighter coming in a few days in Italy, The Black Swan with Natalie Portman Actress in a leading role, Toy Story 3 etc. 

The biggest regret is not having heard of Italian at least one of those statuettes, but our local was the only named Antonella Cannarozzi for I am love, for her task impossible to beat Colleen Atwood to Alice in Wonderland. Closed this long period "moviegoer" I go back to me ... Tears, smiles, thanks, sequins, gemstones and beautiful men in tuxedos are the outline of a show more or less successful. A show that draws from 83 editions worldwide attention. A show that every year tries to renew itself but in its history and its classic would have its strengths, if only everyone did not know it ... Why the Oscars are still the Oscar ...

FASHION WEEK: FROM MILAN TO PARIS

Nero, Bianco, Marrone, Pelle, Tessuti Asimmetrici, Morbidi,  Stivali sopra il ginocchio, Maglie traforate, inserti in pelliccia (guanti, bretelle, collari, gilet e passanti per decoltè), mantelle. Sono queste alcune delle parole d’ordine di questa prima giornata della Fashion Week di Parigi Pret a Porter. Cala il sipario sulla Moda Milanese, si alza sulla Moda Parigina. Il 1° marzo segna il passaggio di testimone tra le sfilate Autunno/Inverno 2011/2012 italiane e quelle francesi. Nove i defilè in programma per questa prima giornata, sfilate cominciate alle ore 12 e terminate pochi minuti fa con il defilè di Thimister. I nomi più forti arriveranno nei prossimi giorni, intanto domani da tenere d’occhio i defileè di LaRoche, Rochà e Thierry Mugler.

Black, White, Brown, Asymmetric tissue, soft, over the knee boots, sweaters perforated, inserts fur (gloves, harnesses, collars, gillet etc.), capes. These are some of key words in first day of Paris Fashion Week Ready to Wear. The curtain falls on the milanese Fashion and gets up on the Paris Fashion. March 1 marks the passage from Milan to Paris Autum/Winter 2011/2012 Defilè! Nine fashion shos in this first day beginning al 12 am e finish a few minutes ago with the fashion show of Thimister.  Famous desiners come in catwalk next days, for now, tomorror take a look at this: LaRoche, Rochà e Thierry Mugler.

UN VASO? NO UN DIVANO-OASI

Più sono strambe e più mi piaccio. Non posso negarlo, sono attratta dalle cose fuori dal comune purchè belle e l’idea di un’oasi verde in pieno salotto mi ha conquistato a prima vista!!!

Jean-Marie Massaud desiner francese doc classe 1966 (la cui filosofia è creare oggetti e situazioni che leghino l’uomo all’ambiente che lo circonda) un bel giorno si è svegliato e ha deciso che quello era il momento giusto per donare al mondo un bel divano-porta pianta. Ma sì! Via vasi in terracotta, plastica o ceramica e largo ad un bel divano-isola che portasse al suo interno, in un’angolino ben sistemato, un vaso dove sistemare una pianta. “Green Island”, questo il nome della creazione di Massaud, esiste in due varianti, una tonda e l’altra quadrata, ed è un divano del diametro di 160 cm (stessa misura del quadrato per lato) che può trasformarsi anche in un pouf letto (magari per noi signorine non troppo alte, se no altro che piedi di fuori). All’interno della struttura rivestita in puro cotone (su richiesta il colore del tessuto) si trova un vaso al cui interno è possibile “piantare” piante e fiori.  Purtroppo “Green Island” non si trova facilmente sul mercato essendo un prodotto di design presentato recentemente a Stoccolma al Salone del Design.  A PLOT? NO, A SOFA-OASIS

I'll admit that I like beautiful things and strange design! And the idea of a green oasis in the living room is very exciting for me! Jean-Marie Massaud French desiner born in 1966 (who create objects and situations that put people and the environment in relation to) one day he woke up and decided that it was the right time to give to the world a large sofa-door plant! Great idea! Thrown terracotta, plastic or ceramic pots and hello to the sofa-plot for wonderful plants. "Green Island", the name of Massaud’s creation, exists in two versions, one round and one square and the sofa have a diameter of 160 cm (same size for each side of square) that can also become an ottoman bed (only for little girls....;)). Unfortunately  the "Green Island",recently presented at the Salon of Design in Stoccolm, is not easy to find in shop, also online.
